MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard Flooring)

MDF, often known as medium density fiberboard for flooring, is an engineered product. It is constructed from fibers of leftover wood that have been heated and crushed with glue or resin. Although more dense, it is similar to particle board. MDF is denser than many hardwoods, weighing between 600 and 800 kg/m3. Additionally, it resists warping or swelling in moist environments like bathrooms or restrooms. Again, due to these qualities, it is an excellent core layer material for engineered and laminate floors. MDF is frequently used for doors, shelving, cabinets, wall panels, furniture, and decorative molding. Acoustic enclosures for loudspeakers and subwoofers are frequently manufactured from MDF due to the material’s insulating properties in terms of sound and heat.
